Risk Factors

Universities must manage a range of risks to ensure the well-being of staff and students and to protect themselves from financial, reputational or physical damage. Examples of risk management processes of relevance to Prevent include external speaker policies and formal processes for the accessing and storage of security sensitive research materials. In addition, institutions should be aware of available support for vulnerable individuals at risk of being drawn into terrorism, and the damage an institution may incur from failing to address more general risks relating to campus safety.
